I can’t believe we’re back at it again! This summer definitely flew by. This marks my second fall at Mount Saint Mary’s. In some ways I can’t believe a year has gone by already, in other ways, I can’t believe that’s all it’s been! :)

This semester I will use my blog to reflect on life and grad school in general, but mainly on my General Methods Course. This will be my third and final class with Dr. Smirnova. She has taught me SO much, it will be strange to not be taking a class with her my next semester.

I’d like to blame it on pregnancy brain, but I can’t believe how distant last Spring seems. I’m really happy that we’ve strictly been reviewing in class so far.
Everything is slowly coming back to me through the readings, discussion forums and class meetings.

Models, strategies, methods, objectives, performance indicators – we really packed a lot in last year!

Here’s to another great semester, and learning many new exciting and useful tools to use in the classroom! :)

  1. Hi Jessica- We have to comment via the blog rubric on 3 or more classmate's blogs. I randomly chose yours. I read your entries from Literacy and Technology and must say that I am jealous that you are so knowledgeable in the options available via the WWW. WOW. I found myself making a list of all of the sites that you used for future reference. You made some important connections between teaching with technology and without and you truly seem to enjoy the creative process on either side. Your enthusiasm for technology is just what I needed to read to encourage me to try out some more uses for technology. I briefly investigated Screen Toaster and that made me want to do one! I also was encouraged to look at doing a Voki. The appearance of your blog indicates that you are an enthusiastic person with a lot of creativity and positive energy. I imagine your daughter is a happy child! One aspect that you honestly expressed was the you periodically felt overwhelmed by all of the obligations, to home, school and work, but you made it through. Persistence is what our students need to see modeled for them!
Feel free to see my blog at http://pennotsword.blogspot.com
Keep up the good, creative work!
